Obituary for Vernice Foster Isbell

Mrs. Vernice Foster Isbell, 87, of Athens, died April 25, 2011. Mrs. Isbell was preceded in death by her parents, James D. and Gertie Lowe Foster, and her husband, Mr. Charlie A. Isbell. Mrs. Isbell was a member of Johnson Drive Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie (Blanton) Dove; son, Leonard (Teresa) Isbell; sister, Gladys (Bill) Young; brother, Bob (Mary) Foster; granddaughter, Lindsay (Ian) McClure; grandsons, Charlie Isbell and David Dove; great-granddaughter, Ava McClure; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, East, with Rev. Jeff Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday. The active pallbearers will be Charlie Isbell, David Dove, Billy Young, Billy Melton, Dan Evans, and Bill Stockton.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Johnson Drive Baptist Church, 140 Johnson Dr., Athens, GA 30605.
