Obituary for Lucy Hardell

Lucy Talmadge Hardell, 87, died Saturday, February 3, 2018.

A native and lifelong resident of Athens, GA, she was a daughter of the late Coke Wells and Sarah Price Talmadge and was also preceded in death by a son, William Rudolph Hardell, Jr.

Mrs. Hardell was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Athens.

Private graveside services will be held at Oconee Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-one years, William Rudolph Hardell, Sr; son, Robert Talmadge Hardell, Sr. and his wife, Anne James Hardell; grandchildren, Robert Talmadge Hardell, Jr., Sarah Elizabeth Hardell, Julia Reed Hardell and Davis James Hardell, all of Watkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Athens, PO Box 1592, Athens, GA 30603.
