Bobby Lu Leverett, 88, wife of the late E.J. Leverett, Jr., died Sunday, October 8, 2017.
Born in Arkansas, Mrs. Leverett was the daughter of the late Frank Turke and Frankie Ann Bolls Turke. Bobby was a graduate of Oklahoma Women’s College, now known as Oklahoma State University with a degree in Home Economics. She briefly taught following graduation. She was a founding member of Grace Fellowship Church and was known for her love for the Word of God and as a teacher and mentor of many.
Survivors include her children: LuAnn (Randy) Holland of Lavonia, Jerry (Camille) Leverett of Marietta, Nancy (Wayne) Stanford of Buford; grandchildren: Ashley Holland Davis, Amy Holland Grieser, Jay Leverett, Mary Claire Leverett, Lauren Stanford Contreras and Catherine Stanford Funes and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 1PM at Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Tony Vismor officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park with a reception following back at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Fellowship Church. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
