Obituary for Brenda Louise Prather

Brenda Louise Prather, 67, of Athens, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017.
Ms. Prather was preceded in death by her father, Jay Tanksley of Athens.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Eugene Prather; her mother, Louise Tanksley of Athens; her two children, Mechelle and Kenny Horton, of Colbert, and Mike and Carrie Gilreath, of Athens; three sisters, Linda Garrett of Athens, and Kim Poulnott and Gina Roberts of Watkinsville; her uncle, Lewis Patrick of Athens; niece, Gigi Garrett Hollifield of Athens; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 13. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
