Obituary for Barry Keith Carson

Barry Keith Carson
Barry Keith Carson, 64, husband of Rose Ann Carson, died Thursday, August 10, 2017. A native of Athens, he was the son of Charles Edward Carson and Dorothy Nell McDaris Carson.
Barry’s greatest love was his wife, children and grandchildren. His grandchildren provided him with endless happiness. As the owner of P& M Army Store, he could always be found there visiting with countless friends. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. He will be remembered for his humor, generosity and love for helping others. He was a strong man of faith who loved God and his life long church family at Prince Avenue Baptist Church. We find comfort that Jesus lived in him and now he lives with Jesus eternally.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children: Ben (Sheryl) Carson of Jefferson and Melanie Carson (Chris) Keeling of Athens; sister: Janice Bond of Oak Ridge, TN; brother: Chuck (Penny) Carson of Athens; grandchildren: Ava Keeling, Coty Carson, Alexis Keeling, Bo Carson, Gage Keeling and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 3PM at Prince Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Ricketts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Athens Pregnancy Center.
Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
