Obituary for Linnie Royston

Linnie Jane “Boots” Royston, widow of Charlie Asbury Royston, Jr., of Athens, GA, died Thursday, October 13, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Royston, GA at 1:00 p.m.

Linnie was born June 12, 1932 in Madison County, GA, daughter of the late Corrie Basco and Fannie Ruth Whitworth Tolbert. Linnie, or Boots as everyone called her, was a popular antiques dealer in Roswell, GA. Her shop, Concord House, was adored by many who would flock to see it’s ever changing surprises. Most anticipated was her Christmas Open House--many can still envision her magical displays and smell the mulled cider!

She is survived by two daughters, Terry Royston Ravan of Smyrna, GA, and Cindy Royston Arneman (Tom) of Mount Pleasant, SC; one granddaughter, Brandy Ravan; and two great-granddaughters, Madie Lee Ravan, and Katie Ann Ravan, all of Smyrna, GA.

Flowers will be graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
