Obituary for Diane Izant (Mount)

Diane Mount Izant, 82, passed away peacefully May 12, 2012 at the St. Mary’s Hospice House after a period of declining health.
Mrs. Izant was born in Cranford, NJ on September 2, 1929. She was a graduate of New Jersey Teachers College and taught in Elizabeth, NJ. Later she was a paraprofessional in the Dekalb County School System.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; daughter; Patricia Panico; two grandsons, Todd Sanders and Nicholas Panico; sister, Janice Giles.
Memorial services will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John L. Kipp officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or the Athens Area Humane Society.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
