Athens, GA - John Carlton Quig, 74, died February 26, 2007.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he was a son of the late John and Bessie Young Quig. Mr. Quig moved to Athens eleven years ago from Naples, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens and a veteran of the United States Navy.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 7:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 PM until service time.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia B. Quig; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Michelle Quig, Jackie and Chris Quig; daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Preston Ward; grandchildren, Amanda Ward, Mac Quig, Alex Quig, Aaron Ward and Cali Quig; nephew, Butch Thorner and wife, Nancy.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
