Esther Annabelle Barber, age 73 of Watkinsville, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
Visitation will take place at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Watkinsville on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM. There will be a second visitation from 3PM to 4PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 also at the church. Services will be held at Poplar Springs Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 4PM. Pastor Jonathan Evans will officiate. Interment will take place after the service at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Esther is survived by husband Thomas Barber of Watkinsville, GA; daughter, Connie Looney of Watkinsville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Troy Callaway of Arnoldsville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Debbie Haller of Watkinsville, GA; son, David Barber of Watkinsville, GA; step daughter and son-in-law, Dina and Calvin Barber of Kentucky; step daughter, Tina Barber of Watkinsville, GA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Douglas and Jeff Shupe; and close friends Carolynn Dalton, Jonathan Evans, Candice Evans, and Gracey Evans.
Esther worked for Athens Packaging a Keebler company, for many years and was also a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church for 22 years. She was a very kind, generous, and giving person and a mother to all.
