Peggy Payne Frantz, 83, died July 7, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Born March 5, 1935, in Falkville, AL, Peggy was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lois Price Payne. She graduated from Marshall County High School and Jacksonville State University, where she was Homecoming Queen of 1957. She also received a degree of Master of Education from the University of Georgia.
In 1958 she married Robert G. Frantz. They celebrated over fifty-seven years of marriage before his death in 2016.
Peggy taught at Oconee County High School for almost twenty-five years where she was the long time advisor of FBLA. She left Oconee County High School in 1993 to work with the Georgia Board of Education at Northeast Georgia RESA.
