Bernard Charles Fischer, 69, of Winterville, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Bernard was born in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Alberta Fischer. He served 11 years in the United States Army and was a member of the AMVETS Post 10. Bernard worked as a logistics manager with FEMA for 19 years, then spent five years at Lowes before his retirement.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Brenda Fischer, sisters-in-law Lillie (Keith) Nash, Louise Mitchell, brothers-in-law, Royce (Mary) Johnson, Howard (Leslie) Johnson, along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1-2 P.M. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 in the chapel of Lord and Stephens, East.
