Obituary for Helen Olivia Bell (Bishop)

Helen Olivia  Bell (Bishop)
Surrounded by the sounds of sweet hymns sung by her children and loved ones, Helen Olivia Bishop Bell, 90, of Hull, GA, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, on June 5, 2018. She loved The Lord and loved serving Him through The Good News Club, teaching Sunday School, and was a dedicated prayer warrior. She was a long-time member of the loving fellowship of Colbert First Baptist Church.
Born in Morgan County, Georgia, she was the daughter of Melvin Stephen Bishop and Leila Martha King Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings, Randall (Nora Lou), Robert (Mary), Olice, Weldon, Ralph, Agnes, Mary Francis, Horace, Sadie Mae, and her daughter Stella Winona Polk (Bob). She is survived by three siblings, Jack Bishop (Marie), Hazel Bishop Griffith (Bob), and Gerald Bishop (Bonnie). She is also survived by three children, Stephen Bell (Jane), James “Jimmy” Bell, and Vicki Bell Wilson (Bill); ten grandchildren, Donna Bell Smith, Diana Bell Queen, Robert Polk III, Daniel Bell, Mandy Wilson Gehman, Christopher Wilson, Timothy Bell, Jennifer Polk Millard, Tabitha Bell Reuman, Lori Wilson Cahill, Brianna Bell, and Joshua Wilson, thirty-three great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home -Danielsville. Viewing to be held at Colbert First Baptist Church -Colbert, GA, on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with services following at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are welcome or donations can be made to Child Evangelism Fellowship Heartland; a ministry very dear to her heart.
