Condolence: I would like to say sorry for your loss, even though we've never met, I know how it feels when a loved one dies. One scripture that helps me (hopefully it'll help you too) is Revelaton 21: 3, 4. Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences at the loss of such a great father, husband, veterinarian, researcher, innovator and friend. His combination of brilliance and humility will never be duplicated. Steeve was my residency advisor and Master's degree advisor just a few years ago. He inspired my career path early on in University as I volunteered in the neonatal unit and watched him whiz around effortlessly teaching students while resurrecting down foals. I was lucky enough to work in his labs and benefit from his brilliant teachings both at UF and UGA. Londa loved how I referred to him as "Uncle Steeve"- a nickname he earned for his endless support. Some of the most important things I learned came from his hilarious stories (my 2 favorites involved oral exams on a rabid cow and a student somehow going out of their way to inject oral dewormer intramuscularly). He spoke of his family fondly as we worked alongside each other on the research horses. I still laugh about how we would "race" each other to see who get a BAL done faster (he always won- I think his record was under 39 seconds, but may have been even faster). His legacy will live on via his wonderful family and the thousands of students and veterinarians to whom he imparted so much practical knowledge. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: I was shocked to hear that Steeve has passed away. We live in different continents, but he has many friends here in Sweden and his work is spread all over the world. I first met Steeve in the neonatal foal care units in Gainesville and New Bolton Center in the 1990's, and since then many times on international meetings, often on the topic of foal infections and antimicrobial resistence. I will always remember his smiling face, his clever and thoughful mind, and in my ears I will always hear him, speaking his wonderful accent. He will be so missed by so many.

Condolence: I am very sad to learn that Dr. Steeve has moved on to greener pastures. He was a true gentleman, a brilliant research scientist, a dedicated veterinarian, and a gentle soul. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to collaborate with him at the UF-CVM. He improved the lives of everyone he met and was truly an asset to the staff and students at Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine.
I will always marvel at the memory of Steeve roller-blading, clearly it was poetry-in-motion! He was a terrific Dad and loved his family - I'm humbled by their loss. How can this be???

Condolence: I am very sorry for your loss. It is not an easy time to go through. Talking about it with someone always helps, and their is no one better than God, he even gives us in the Bible Hope in John 5:28, 29 where he promises to bring back to life our loved ones. Condolence: I find myself using something I learned from Steeve's research at least weekly...a drug dosage for a neonate, the most effective treatment for a R. equi infected foal. He was a power house of knowledge and yet so real, so humble. He is SO missed. Although his life was too short, it was so rich. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
