Obituary for Carlton T. "Ted" Crowe Jr.

Carlton T. “Ted” Crowe, Jr., died peacefully May 6, 2018. Born in Athens, he was the son of C.T.Crowe, Sr. and Syble Stone Crowe. He graduated from Athens High School in 1954 and North Georgia College in 1958, where he was commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the US Army Reserve. He served as an Artillery officer at Ft. Sill, OK, and for 8 years in the Army Reserve. He received an Honorable Discharge as Captain. His primary work was at Oglesby Oil Company for 30 years. He was a charter member of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church and currently a member of Athens First Baptist Church.
Ted is survived by his wife of 60 years, Charlotte Eckles Crowe; sons, Carlton T. Crowe, III (Khris), Randall A. Crowe (LeAnn), daughter Bonnie C. Carlson (Michael), grandchildren, Joshua Crowe, Charlotte Crowe Pitts (Danny), Rebecca Crowe, David Beale, Jr., Savannah C. Hill (Craig), Carlton T. Crowe, IV, Jackie Frayne (Jason), LottieJane Andersen, Christina Andersen, and great grandson, Benjamin Frayne and one sister, Dottie C. Hudson.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, WEST, followed by the memorial service at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Athens, 355 Pulaski Street, Athens, GA 30601, Friends of Oconee Hill Cemetery, PO Box 49219, Athens, GA 30604, or to a charity of choice.
