Ricky W. Eberhart, 61, of Winterville, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
Born in Athens, he was a son of the late William Gene Eberhart and Nina Ruth Williams Eberhart. Mr. Eberhart loved old cars, big trucks, travelling to the mountains for car shows and going to Daytona Beach. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Georgia Bulldogs and he enjoyed parking cars for many of the football games at UGA. Mr. Eberhart owned and operated Athens Automotive for over 25 years and he attended Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice Bradshaw Eberhart; three daughters, Lisa Finley (Billy), Melissa Brady and Kim Golden (Andy); three siblings, Debbie Moore, Dwight Eberhart and Dennis Eberhart; seven grandchildren, Lacy (Haden), Jessica, Chase, Will, Carly, Kaylee and Rylee; two great-grandchildren, Mila and Ellie and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East with Rev. Bobby Miller and Rev. Bobby Miller Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and Thursday, April 5, 2018 prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm.
