Obituary for Bruce Malcolm Alexander

Bruce Malcolm Alexander
Bruce Malcolm Alexander, 61, of Watkinsville, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018.
Born in Calcutta, India on September 21, 1956, he was a son of the late Christopher and Kathleen Alexander. Bruce grew up in India and moved to England at a young age with his Mum and brother Shane. He was a skilled mechanical engineer who traveled the world, and created intricate machinery while working at Oliver Rubber. Some of his greatest accomplishments throughout his life included converting a 300-year-old stable into a beautiful home for his family, holding patents for his designs, and building a 200-gallon aquarium by hand. His work moved the family to Watkinsville, GA in 1995, where his family enjoyed many happy memories. In the early 2000’s, Bruce became self-employed and specialized in carpentry, renovations, and general contracting. He was kind, hilarious, and contagiously cheeky and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, tropical fish, art, music, and all the wonders of nature and the outdoors. Bruce sadly suffered with illness in the last few years of his life.
Bruce leaves behind Kay (Catherine) Alexander, his daughter Anita (Alexander) Arnold and son-in-law Andrew Arnold, and his brother & sister-in-law Shane & Julie Alexander. Additionally, his Grandson Dominic, Nephews & Nieces Christopher, James, Daniel, Sophia and all their families.
The family will hold a Funeral service for Bruce on Sunday April 8, 2018 at 2:00PM at Lord and Stephens, West. 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road. Watkinsville, GA 30677.
Donations may be made to the Athens Area Commencement Center (706)546-7355 OR www.aa.org. Family flowers only please.
