Obituary for Eleanor Marie Hillsman (Clotfelter)

Eleanor Clotfelter Hillsman, age 85, passed away March 30, 2018. Eleanor was the wife of the late George Anderson Hillsman who was a longtime Oconee County farmer. She was a homemaker, interior design graduate of the University of Georgia and member of Antioch Christian Church. She designed several homes in the area and had a love and talent for painting. In addition to her husband of 58 years, she was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Thompson and infant son, James Mark Hillsman. Survivors include her children, George Anderson “Andy” Hillsman, Jr. (Charlie), Pamela Hillsman Wood (Walt), and Charles Robert Hillsman (Jane); grandchildren, Angela Wood Hoffman (Jeremy), Matthew Preston Wood, Nicholas Robert Hillsman (Samantha), Kasey Lynne Hillsman, and Julie Elizabeth Hillsman; great-granddaughter, Kamea Mae Hoffman; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30PM on Monday, April 2, 2018 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West with Revs. Jim Jacobs and Jeff Wilkes officiating. Interment will follow at Johnson United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Sunday April 1, 2018.

Pallbearers will be Nick Hillsman, Matt Wood, Jeremy Hoffman, Dave Durden, John Hillsman and Ted Holladay.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
