Obituary for Barbara Taylor

Barbara  Taylor
Barbara Eileen Taylor, 88, died Sunday, March 11, 2018. Barbara was born in Providence RI to the late William and Eleanor McCahey Donilon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Taylor, son, Bill Taylor, brother, John Donilon, and granddaughter, Becky Blitch. She is survived by children,, Nancy (David) Blitch, Suzanne (Perry) Barbee, Robert (Vickie) Taylor, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Athens, GA, and volunteered regularly for the Saint Joseph’s Charities program. Barbara was the high school secretary at Bradwell Institute in Hinesville, GA. 1972-1982. Barbara remained active in the U.S. Navy GCA/ATC association, a professional organization for Gerald. Barbara will be missed by many in her and Gerald’s extended Navy family. Barbara lovingly shared her time with all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her expression of caring and love will surely remain with us for many generations.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 15th from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held Friday, March 16th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to Saint Joseph’s Charities 958 Epps Bridge Parkway, Athens GA 30606.
