Donna Mann Sawyer was granted her angel wings on March 3rd 2018, two days before her 53rd birthday. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Donna had touched throughout her very special life.
Donna’s life would seem too short by many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her beautiful smile and sense of humor brought so much joy to her family and friends.
She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life, and to cherish even the smallest moments together. She loved spending time at ocean beaches with her husband of over 33 years. She could spend hours rocking in her favorite chair while laughing and being close to those that came by to visit. Her most cherished achievement in life was being mother to her two sons whom she loved so very much and she thanked God daily for giving them to her.
Donna is survived by her devoted husband John Sawyer of Martinez GA, sons Benjamin Sawyer of Evans GA and Ryan Sawyer of Grovetown GA; mother Mary Ann Mann of Colbert GA; sister Freda Mann (Martin) Rankin of Surprise AZ; brothers Larry (Wanda) Mann and Clayton (Cindy) Mann of Colbert GA; father and mother in-law Wayne (Alice) Sawyer of Inverness FL; sister in-law Janet (Chip) Muse of Roswell GA; brothers in-law Tom (Tracy) Sawyer of Citrus Springs FL and Scott Sawyer of Indianapolis IN; and 2 nieces and 5 nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Norman Mann of Colbert GA.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, East with Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
