Obituary for Jimmie Lorraine Amey

Jimmie Lorraine Amey was born August 5, 1941. She was called to her heavenly rest on February 12, 2018. She was the daughter of Cleo Ruth Harrison and Walter Anderson.
At a very young age Cleo planted a seed in her for the love of books. Jimmie attended the Career Training Institute in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to pursue a career as a nurse’s aid and received a certificate.
Jimmie Lorraine Amey worked at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, one of the top hospitals in the country. She worked in the emergency room for ten years. She attended church regularly where she sang in the choir. Jimmie was a missionary and became an evangelist. In 1993, Jimmie was ordained to be a pastor and preach the word of God. In 2003 she was promoted to Apostle. Jimmie Lorraine Amey received a certificate of appreciation from Kenneth Copeland Ministries in 2007.
Johnnie and Jimmie Amey were married for eighteen years. During this time Johnnie drove an eighteen-wheeler truck and Jimmie was his co-pilot. Johnnie and Jimmie Lorraine had so much love for each other.
Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Anthony Price. She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Clarence Amey, and seven of her eight children: Don Stubblefield, Billy Stubblefield, Brenda Price, Sharon Price, Patricia Price, Ernest Price, and Robert Price.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home.
