Carl Kilgore passed away on February 10, 2018 from a short illness. Born in Fulton County, GA, to the late Lewis and Lula Kilgore, on June 26, 1940. He was also preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Tant. Carl loved his family, life and friends. He was an avid hunter and even better story teller. He touched everyone that he came into contact with and has left an indelible mark on the world he has left behind. Carl is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Daniel Kilgore; five children that loved him very much: Robbie Jones of Villa Rica, Joann (Chris) Wrenn of Crawford, Danette (Tim) York of Chehalis, Washington, David (Melanie) Daniel of Athens, Billy (Crissy) Daniel of Arnoldsville; very special “Kids” in his life: Becky and Derek McCormack, Landon and Jax, Jonathan and Paige Rogers, Reid, Noah and Chance Coley; eighteen grandchildren: Brandi Jones, Van and Emily Bowling, Remington Bowling, Bryce Wrenn, Victoria Davenport, Camryn Wrenn, Cassie Sullivan, Tony Shaffer, Tony Sullivan, Apryl and Mark Reason, Elliot O’Connor, Beckett Daniel, Jessica Daniel, Chace, Blane and Macee Ross; Red Headed step child “Chet”; special cousins; Barbara and James Brooks; nephew: Michael Tant and family; brother in law: Irby Tant and eight great grandchildren: Mackenzie Bowling, Nate, Austin and Jason Sullivan, Braxton Griffin and Logan, Cooper and Maddox Reason. A memorial service will be held Saturday March 3, 2018 at 11AM at the Cabin at Corinth Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ms. Oglethorpe’s Scholarship Fund, 825 Crawford Smithonia Road, Crawford, GA 30630.
