Obituary for Neal Lord

Neal Lord, 80, of Bishop, died January 31, 2018.
A lifelong resident of Oconee County, he was the son of the late Robert Otha and Julia Jones Lord. He was retired from American Linen after 29 years of service. Neal loved the outdoors and his annual Christmas lights. He will be remembered for his laugh, jokes, stories and great sense of humor.
Services will be Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Union Christian Church Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Ann H. Lord; daughter, Karen (Mickey) Smith of Bishop; grandson, Ryan (Hannah) Smith of Covington; sister, Charlotte Dawson and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
