Eugene Cowart, 79, of Hull, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
Born in Jackson County, he was a son of the late Leroy Cowart and Mary Agnes Smith Cowart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby, Bobby, Lois, and Louise and one son-in-law, Charles Ashley.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Evelyn Cowart; three children, Brenda Ashley, Larry Cowart and Jimmy Ray Cowart; siblings, Eloise, Cora, Benny, Faye, Roy, Charles, Naomi and Velma; one special granddaughter, Glenda Ashley and two great-grandchildren, Angel Stevens and Jaycee Wilson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Jimmy Edwards officiating. Interment will be at Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
