Condolences

Condolence From: A. D.
Condolence: I am very sorry for your loss. God didn't intend for things like this to happen. He promises us in Revelation 21:3, 4 that death and suffering will be no more. And he also promises us in John 5:28, 29 that he will bring back to life our loved ones.  I hope you can find comfort in God's promise. To know more visit jw.org

Condolence From: Lynn Clark
Condolence: Bill and I were roommates in Officer Candidate School, Fort Benning, GA in 1968. We both had served as Enlisted men prior to volunteering for OCS and became close and life-long friends as we pushed each other not to give up during that training. Bill's nickname in OCS was "Latrine Daddy" and he nicknamed me "RIP," short for Rip Van Winkle because I could fall asleep quickly. During that period I was welcomed into Bill's home by his precious parents, Frank & Honey and got to meet his brother Mike. I soon realized Bill's family was a very positive influence in his development and life... becoming such a kind, generous, loving and deeply patriotic man. We both served combat tours in Vietnam, although we were in different units and different parts of the country. After reconnecting in recent years on Facebook, we often spoke about him coming to Texas or my going to Georgia... but we failed to make that happen. Still, I treasure our exchange of messages and phone calls. Bill will always have a special place in my heart. I pray God will bless and comfort Nancy, Mike and the rest of Bill's family as you adjust to no longer having his dynamic physical presence here on earth, and as you celebrate Bill's life and the experiences you and he shared. Bill, "RIP" prays you will Rest in Peace. Yours was a life well lived and you had a very positive impact on each of us privileged to know you. Love you, Brother!
