Obituary for Carl Jackson Hanes

Carl Jackson  Hanes
Carl Jackson Hanes, Jr., 89, husband of the late Louise Tumlin Hanes, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017. A native of Hall County, he was the son of the late Carl Jackson Hanes, Sr. and Lucy Mae Floyd Hanes. Mr. Hanes moved to Morgan County when he was eight years old and lived there most of his life. He was a dairy farmer and following the sale of his diary farm he was the owner of a Tire and Alignment business in Madison, GA. He moved to Winterville and really embraced the community and his church, Winterville First Baptist Church. Survivors include his three children: Evelyn Hanes of Winterville, Suzanne Hanes (Gary) Washington of Crawford, Chuck (Elizabeth Collins) Hanes of Newborn, GA; sister: Eula Mae Hanes Adams of Oakwood, GA; grandchildren: Christopher Hanes, Jed (Beth Lee) Hanes, Luke (Dawn Dean) Hanes, Carla Washington (Brian) Turner, Beth Washington and four great grandchildren: Erick Perez, Emily Mangiafico, Bailey Hanes and Dean Hanes. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Winterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:30 at the funeral home prior to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Winterville Frist Baptist Church Bus Fund.
