Obituary for Helen Louise von Richthofen (Frizzell)

Helen von Richthofen, age 79, a resident of Watkinsville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospice House in Athens, Georgia. Helen was born the daughter of Harley William and Rose Genevieve (Thomas) Frizzell on November 9, 1938, at the home near Chillicothe, Missouri.
She was married to the late Friedrich (Fritz) von Richthofen in 1966 in Werne, Germany.
Survivors include sisters Willa Vee (Frizzell) George and husband Jim, Gail O’Bryan (Frizzell) and husband Jack, and sister-in-law Lois Frizzell, and their families, many nieces and nephews, extended von Richthofen family members in Germany and Godson, Todd Olson.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz and her parents, one brother, Dale Frizzell and niece Diane (Frizzell) McNally.
Memorial services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 15, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Burnside Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. In Georgia, a Memorial Service will be held at Friday December 8, 2017 11:00am at Fork Chapel UMC, Madison, GA. The family will visit one hour prior to the service.
