Melissa Smith, 40, wife of David Smith and mother of Noah Smith, passed away November 11, 2017.

Born in Athens, GA, she was a daughter of Kathy Hendrix Spratlin of Crawford and the late James Spratlin.

Melissa was a nurse for several years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. She had a very caring heart and devoted her life to taking care of her son and husband, and also her pets. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during holidays and at the beach. Melissa will also be remembered for her beautiful smile and great sense of humor.

Memorial services will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Revs. Sheila Hunter and Joseph Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, David; son, Noah; brother, Glenn (Heather) Spratlin, Sr.; nephew, Glenn Spratlin; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Ann Smith; sister-in-law, Gina (Dave) Waters; niece, MaryAnn Waters.
