Robert Franklin Parcells, 86, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home in Athens, Georgia. He was born on March 16, 1931 In Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Erla (Barnes) Parcells.

Bob grew up in Naperville, Il. He graduated from Naperville High School in 1949. After high school, he attended Yale University where he lettered all four years in varsity football. Upon graduation in 1953 he joined the US Army. From there he began his 35 year career with Amoco Oil in Chicago. Bob had many achievements throughout his life. Most notably was shooting his age (69) on his home golf course, Jennings Mill CC. In 2015 he was inducted into the Naperville High School Athletic Hall of Fame. A life long suffering Chicago Cub's fan, he was finally able to see his team win it all last year!

Bob is survived by his loving wife Miki with whom he shared the last, and best, 26 years of his life with. He is also survived by twin sons Brad (Joanne) Parcells of Atlanta, Clay (Lisa) Parcells of McLean, VA, daughter Lindsey (David) Fensler of Glenview, Il, sister Patricia Johnson of Sun City, AZ and grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
