Condolence: My condolences to the family, Charles and I had many memories from high school. It was always good to see him at the class reunion.

Condolence: A true southern gentleman who always had a kind word to share. Thank you "Mr. Mayor" for your friendship and your contributions to our community. I know you will be missed by many and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: Dear Carol and family, I am so sad to hear of Charles's passing. We were classmates from first grade through high school. i always enjoyed seeing you both at our OCHS reunions. Charles was a smiling, welcoming friend. I admire and appreciate his many accomplishments which meant so much to so many people. I will remember him fondly. Condolence: Charles was one of a kind, always able to make light of the toughest situations. He was known to put family before all and most every time we spoke he always had something about a child, grandchild or great grandchild to tell me about. He was one of the finest mayors that Watkinsville has ever had. He had a great sense of community and worked diligently to make Watkinsville a better place for all citizens.Will never forget his sense of humor and I've no doubt in my mind that he isn't in Heaven as we speak telling a story to the angels who are all laughing. Rest in peace my friend.
