Condolences

Condolence From: Ray & Paulette McElroy
Condolence: We wish to express our condolences to the family of
Mr. Fred. During the time our mother/mother-in-law was at Quiet Oaks, we came to know Mr. Fred. He was a joy to talk to. A fine gentleman. He will be missed.

Condolence From: Jennifer Cameron
Condolence: I had so many memories associated with him. We grew up going to his and my great grandparents place and they had a wonderful little farm. We'd eat corn straight from the stalk only to be caught coming out of the corn field by grandpa and asked if we were doing that, only to have go back and hide the evidence.. We shucked the corn in the barns, which we thought was fun but to the grown ups was work. Fed the chickens and chased them even... collected eggs from their nests, helped feed the pigs (and even wondered why they always ran away...lol, grandpa told me that when I asked where one was, instead of telling me we had him for breakfast). Roaming through the woods and finding old barns and other things to get into, and most vivid memory was having to use the outhouse, or the pot under the bed if you didn't want to venture the darkness at night... Yeah kids today have no idea... I got to sleep with my Donut Grandma for a number of visits in this bed with a feather mattress, that when she got in bed, I just rolled in her direction, and drifted off to sleep to the sound of the clock over my head... all in the same room with great grandma and grandpa... I loved this man with all my heart, and will miss him always.
