Obituary for LeRoy Adrian Rabideau

LeRoy Adrian Rabideau, 77, of Athens GA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday September 14, 2017. He was survived by his brother Alvin Rabideau, wife Shirley Rabideau and son Keith Rabideau.

LeRoy was born on July 17, 1940 in Shazy Lake New York, the youngest of 6 children, and spent his time growing up on the family farm in Plattsburgh New York. After primary school he enlisted in the ARMY where he spent his enlistment as a mechanic, while stationed in Germany. After the military he worked as a contractor building residential homes throughout New York State. Later in his career he focused his efforts on finding homes for clients as a broker prior to his retirement. In retirement he spent time in Athens with his son and wife while taking frequent trips around the US and abroad. He was a man who enjoyed life and the people around him. A mans worth is only measured by the footprint left behind!

A loving husband, father, friend and patriot.

The family will receive guests at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in East Athens on Monday September 25 from 1 to 3 pm. Reception following from 4-6 at Keith’s residence in Athens.

Burial to be held at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville GA, at 11 am on Tuesday September 26.

In lieu of flowers please make a charitable donation to the Fischer House Foundation.
