Born in Leslie, Georgia on December 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James Aaron and Walter Mae Pollock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Della Parrish and her grandson, Luke Bliss.

Ann graduated from Albany High School in 1956, and the University of Georgia in 1960. While at Georgia she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. As a resident of Americus, Georgia, she was a teacher of English and Latin, retiring from Southland Academy in 1998. She served as Treasurer of the Hat and Hoe Garden Club for many years, and enjoyed travelling and cheering for her beloved Georgia Bulldogs. She was often found with a crossword puzzle in her hand, and was active in each of the churches she attended in her life.

She was married on April 30, 1960 to her surviving husband, Dwight L. “Bucky” Bliss, Jr. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter, Lisa McMichael and husband Allen of Dublin, GA, and her son Trey Bliss, and wife Cheri of Athens, GA. She is survived by five granddaughters: Bliss McMichael, Blair McMichael, Audrey Bliss, Brooke Bliss, and Anna Grace Bliss. She is also survived by her sister, Jamie Farmer of Albany, GA.

Memorial services will be held Monday, September 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St. Stephens Anglican Catholic Church.
