Condolences

Condolence From: David Foote
Condolence: To Kelly's family,

Our prayers and condolences to you at the passing of Kelly. I had the blessing of having "Mr. Bussell" as my band director while in high school in Dekalb County, Georgia. He was a disciplined director that worked us hard. But he took a mediocre band program, at best, and turned us into a competitive, award winning program. So at that time, I wouldn't have necessarily said Kelly was a blessing in my life. But looking back on those years, I know he helped cement a love for music in my life and the understanding of hard work to become proficient at playing an instrument well. I know several of my band mates that went on to major in music and also become band directors as well. And even though I didn't major in music, I still play my instrument several times a year in an alumni band. So I know his legacy lives on. And I am so glad to hear he was able to renew his love for music and play trumpet again later in life. God bless your family and bring you comfort.
