Obituary for Ivy Willoughby

Ivy Willoughby, 48, wife of Russell Willoughby, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was the daughter of Deborah and Larry Born of Watkinsville. For the last 13 years she was the school nurse for Colham Ferry Elementary School. Everyone described her as selfless, giving, nurturing and a true angel. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Hallie and Cecil Blakely "Jack" Hayes. Survivors in addition to her husband include their three children: Raven Willoughby, Hanna Rose Willoughby and Blakely Willoughby, all of Watkinsville and step brother, Chris Born of Watkinsville. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 at the funeral home on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements. www.lordandstephens.com
