Condolence: I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one to death is one of the most painful experiences that we as humans must endure. The Bible teaches that even Jesus "gave way to tears" or "wept" when he saw the pain that the death of his beloved friend, Lazarus, caused. (John 11:35) Thus, we can likewise be sure that our Heavenly Father is more than aware of our feelings during these difficult times, and like his son, Jesus, he has the power and the desire to do something about it. Therefore, we can have complete confidence in the words found at Isaiah 25:8,9 & Isaiah 26:19. In these verses, God promises that he will soon "swallow up death forever" and that our dead "shall rise". May these verses give you a measure of hope and assure you of God's love.
